Dr. Donald Kim

Dr. Donald D. Kim studied Biochemistry and received his Bachelor of Science degree from
Stony Brook University in 1989. He went on to Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he
received his Doctorate in 1993. He trained at the Eye Institute in Philadelphia and Brooklyn VA
Hospital, where he honed his clinical skills in ocular disease.


Dr. Kim is focused on treatment and management of glaucoma, dry eyes, anterior segment
pathologies, strabismus, and pediatric evaluations. He has extensive experience in the
management of ocular surgeries including cataracts, penetrating keratoplasty, pterygium,
blepharoplasty, vitreo-retinal surgeries and refractive surgeries.


Prior to opening Closter Eye Care (est. 2008) his work history includes nineteen years with Raymond Fong Eye Care (NY Eye Center). Afterwards he went on to join the Clearview Eye surgery team in 2016.
